How the 4-hour block works. You are booking a tradesperson's time, not a finished result. They walk the job with you on arrival and tell you what it will actually take. If it needs longer, you approve the extra hours at the same rate — nothing is added without you saying so. If it turns out to need a trade we do not supply, we will tell you on the spot and you are billed nothing.

Nothing is charged today. Need hands rather than a trade? Book a Gopher.

Being straight with you

What we will not do

British Columbia reinstated compulsory certification for the electrical and mechanical trades. Those need certified journeypersons and, for electrical and gas, a licensed contractor in the company's name. We do not hold that yet, so we do not take the work — and we will tell you rather than send someone who should not be there.

  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Gasfitting
  • Refrigeration & HVAC
  • Sheet metal

If your job needs one of these, say so and we will tell you what you need rather than quote around it.

How it is priced

You book the time, they scope the job

$129.99/hr with a 4-hour minimum. You are buying a block of a tradesperson's time, not a finished result quoted sight-unseen — because nobody can honestly price hanging twelve doors without seeing the doors.

They walk the job with you on arrival and tell you what it will actually take. If it runs past the block you approve the extra hours at the same rate. Nothing is added without you saying so, and if it turns out to need a trade we do not supply we tell you on the spot and bill you nothing.

Four hours rather than the three-hour general-labour minimum: a trade arrives with tools, spends the first part of the visit assessing, and turns down a half-day to be there.

Need hands rather than a trade? General labour is booked online by the hour from $49.99. Book a Gopher.
Where they come from

We grow them

Our skilled trades come off our own ladder wherever we can — Gophers who proved themselves on general labour, moved up to crew lead, and had a trade worth assessing, on our payroll with WorkSafeBC coverage and a T4.

That is why we can put our name on the work: we have seen them do it, on our own jobs, before you ever meet them.

Have a trade already?

We assess it on a real job before your name goes in front of a customer. If it holds up, you are on our payroll with WorkSafeBC coverage and a T4.
